Christmas Wish List item No. 16 - Perfect Eyebrows

This may be a handy tool to help guide my eyebrow shaping which I do myself once or twice a week. Not sure if it will work but it is worth a try. Besides, I always prefer to do my own brows or let a selected few makeup artist friends do them for me as they always make mine too think or skinny in salons (and that was a lesson well learnt!).

How to rid the winter blues - wear happy colors!

TRUE Cosmetics - Cache Paradise Collection

It is sometimes difficult to get up in the morning when it is so dark and cold outside. It is also difficult when leaving work to see that it is already dark outside. I see my colleagues all suffer from it as well around this time of the year. How do I remedy this potentially depressing situation? I spread the word on wearing a splash of color!

I saw this palette from TRUE Cosmetics - Cache Paradise Collection (top image) and I have to say I immediately perked right up! The colors in this palette remind of the ones that are about to be launched by MAC in spring in collaboration with Fafi (bottom image)! I cannot wait to get my hands on those; but until then I will pick up the one from True Cosmetics to play with.

Can't deny how beautiful this is - The Shiseido Maquillage Liquid Foundation Brush

This is possibly the most beautifully crafted foundation brush I have ever laid eyes on. Understated handle and elegant logo on shiny black metal. The bristles itself has a graduated pink to white appearance.

Simply gorgeous!

Christmas Wish List item No. 15 - Be good to my back and it will take care of me for years to come.

I reeaallly want this for X'mas! If you (hey boyfriend!) out there is reading this, I really really do want this!

Ok, now with that plead aside, let me explain to you why I want this so badly. I work behind my desk alot and stare at the computer constantly all day long. I have my desktop all sorted in the sense that everything there is ergonomically set up to prevent repetitive injuries. The only thing that is so difficult for me is to find the right chair. My physiotherapist complain that I don't vary my sitting position enough and that I also need to strengthen my back more.

Well we all know that an exercise ball is wonderful exercise for our backs and abs if we sit on it all day. But who is going to sit on just a ball at work? Now this BalanceBall Chair: The Original Balance Ball Chair is a ball on a chair so it looks more like a chair. It also looks like it gives supports in the lower back where it is supposed to and the ball gives enough variation to help strengthen my back and my abs.

How ingenious! So look around your work place to see if everything is set up properly. Be good to your back and it will take care of you for many many years to come!

Christmas Wish List item No. 14 - Do my part and be good to the environment.

This is something that we should have been doing all along but now it seems the damages we have done are more apparent. I want to start wearing more organic cotton clothing like the one above and the ones already in my closet (I love the way they feel anyway!).

Other things to start doing:

1. Buy energy-saving appliances and get cheaper electric bills

2. Take electronic gadgets off stand-by mode

3. Turn down the temperature just by a little and cuddle up with someone!

4. Boil only as much water as you need so you can work off calories when you have to get up again for more!

5. Install thicker insulation for your humble abode

6. Buy laundry detergent suitable for wash in 30 degrees C which also preserves the color of your clothes

7. Abandon your car at home as much as you can

Forget about diets; Tights To the Rescue!

Another interesting item I spotted; this one is actually beauty related.

These Japanese-made tights claim to help you work off 410 kcal per hour. It has little massaging 'fingers' and comes in all sorts of colors because you are supposed to wear them like your usual tights. I might get myself some for a try!

A Marshmallow shooter for you?

This is off topic but I could not resist not sharing with you. I spotted this while online surfing/shopping. This is called a Marshmallow shooter and it comes in several colors at drugstore.com.

I can picture that this could be fun at a bonfire or perhaps if your grandparents have a fireplace or at the movie theatre? Or to shoot at birds eating your new plantings?

The uses may be limitless and it could be fun actually.
