It is an honour to have received the Brillante Weblog Premio Award '08 from the talented bloggers at Fashion Binge, who's writing leave me giddy and eager for more.

I am not too good with acceptance speeches (because of my lack of practice), but I would love to experience what Halle Berry did when she accepted the Razzie Award for Worst Actress in Cat Woman. Only a woman who has been at the top of the game can truly have so much fun with the situation.

I am starting off the week by responding to being recently tagged by * : . b | u 3 . : *. I have been absent lately because I have been so busy working on my other website. I am both excited and nervous to show it to all of you but I promise that I will do that very soon. Thanks for all of your supportive words.


The tag this time is about beauty crimes. I thought this would be a good way to start off the week because then I have the entire week to start correcting them.

3 of my own Beauty Crimes :

At No. 3- Over-indulgence in facial masks
I love having a face mask on and I indulge in that whenever I can. I love the time when the mask is on my face. It is a time when I really feel at peace and for a moment just melt away into my thoughts. Combined with a bath and a scented candlelight, it really is what cloud 9 feels like to me. I know that this doesn't sound like much of a crime but I really do overdo them. I think there is a point when your skin just can't take in all that goodness anymore.


No. 2 - Over-washing
I enjoy getting clean, especially my hair and hands. I love to cook as well, so every time I cook, I probably wash my hands 10 times. That, and the combination of my distaste for smelly hair, has led me to somewhat dry hands and puffy hair. So I spend a lot of my money on hand cream, shampoos and hair treatments.

No. 1 - Picking at spots
I pick and squeeze anything that remotely resembles a spot on my skin. I do my own facial extractions almost every single night If I can. I am that person with the x 10 magnifying mirror on my makeup table staring at her pores. Past over-zealous moments have led to a few scars (but nothing that requires heavy concealer...really, I meant that!). Although, I do have enough concealer artillery power in my beauty cabinet ready to battle any nasty scars.


It is unlikely that I will be able to battle these beauty 'faux-pas' on my own. Let's just see how I do this week! I invite those of you reading this to take part as well; share your beauty crimes, write about them, brag about them.....! You've just been tagged!

Outstanding Women

What a better way to sum up the week of hard work than to smile about being awarded the "You Make My Day Award" by 3 very special ladies. Their gorgeousness is intoxicating and their positive attitudes infectious. They are (in no particular order) The Seeker, Izar and Vanessa. I will tell you more about each one of them below and share with you the other fantastichicas I am nominating for my own "You Make My Day Award". I soak up every word from their blogs everyday!

The Seeker - For inspiring me everyday with her fashion sense and her brains! She also has an intriguing sense with colors and shapes. I look forward each day to see what she's wearing

Izar - For her keen artistic-ality and for being such a whole-hearted person. She shares with us a glimpse into her life with her discoveries, trials and happiness.

Vanessa - For always sharing with us her makeup hauls and the latest news in the cosmetics world. She has a special talent in photography and is someone who is so damn good with that eyeliner (the best I have ever seen)!

The Muse - For always keeping me up to date on cute and pretty makeup. She is warm and her bright smile helps me start everyday positively!

PJ - She never fails to bring us news from the best cosmetics out there. Her blog is like bread and butter to me! She is sincere and courteous and never misses the opportunity to connect with her readers.

Annieytown - For her dish everyday on iconic beauty items that keep me wanting and going back for more! She has a 6th-sense when it comes to what's beautiful and her wittiness often puts a smile on my face!

Jackie & Hillary - For their no-nonsense advice on beauty. I have come to trust their opinion. I am there everyday to see what I need and do not need in my makeup cabinet!

Bloggers' Game of Tag

I had the fortune of being tagged by the seeker. As the game goes, I must reveal the contents of my purse. You get to know alot about a woman by the contents of her purse. A male friend of mine was told by his mother to never look into a woman's purse because it is an ill-mannered thing to do.

















* Tod's Wallet in black - I always check that I have got my movie card in there. You never know when you feel like popping into the movie theater.

* Mint - got to be prepared!

* Mobile - doubles as a watch and camera.

* Cargo Lip Gloss Duo - (the dented tin in the middle!) in Oulu. This one has seen the insides of many purses. A great sheer grape color!

* Yon-ka Elastine Jour - for anything that needs moisturizing.

* YSL Compact Powder for Complexion - had to have this shiny gold compact.

* Rituals Supershine Lipgloss in #7135 - You would see a different gloss in my purse each day but today I've got this one in it. I only need a tiny little dab of this for my lips.

* Keys

* The Body Shop Almond Lip Butter - soothing scent and so nourishing.

* The Body Shop Chrome Compact Mirror - comes in a mesh protector and has 2 mirrored-sides; one in normal view, the other with 3X zoom.
















and my Penguin soap! I got this as a gift and it hasn't made its way out of my purse yet. It's so adorable and cheerful. Cheers me up every time I look at its chubby face!
